original c. 1940's vintage american industrial adjustable height drafting room four-legged tubular steel swivel seat stool with heel ring

refinished c. 1940's american industrial stationary drafting room adjustable height architect stool designed and fabricated by the hamilton mfg. co., two rivers, wi. the four-legged base is comprised of tubular steel with pinched ends. the centrally located telescoping rod contains multiple pre-drilled holes for height adjustment purposes. the all-welded joint tubular steel heel ring or footrest is secured firmly in place. the saddle type birch wood seat has been refinished and treated with a clear coat lacquer. the slightly contoured elongated oval-shaped backrest remains in great overall condition, considering age. the stool was salvaged from a notable chicago architectural firm's drafting room. the brushed metal finish has been treated with a clear coat finish. seat width 14 1/2" x height 24".
