exceptional all original c. 1940's american vintage industrial lightweight bent tubular steel architect's office and/or drafting room workstation designed and fabricated by the economy drawing table & mfg. co., adrian, mich. the robust four-legged "economy" drafting table retains the original solid oak wood drawing board that tilts to desired angle. the rear portion of the base is outfitted with a single oversized modular pressed and folded steel cabinet with single hinged door. the stretcher positioned directly in front of the cabinet serves as a footrest in addition to providing added support and stability. the metal components have been brushed and sanded down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the tabletop has been refinished and lightly darkened (i.e., stained) and sealed. only one available. the drawing table was salvaged from a chicago-based architecture firm. measures 24 x 24 x 42 inches high when fully extended.
