towering vintage american industrial refinished "allsteel" barrister bookcase salvaged from a chicago rail yard once used by the chicago transit authority. the completely intact and detachable book cabinet was fabricated by the general fireproofing co., youngstown, oh. the well-built freestanding cabinet contains the matching crown or header and supporting low-lying four-legged tubular base. the brushed and sanded metal finish has been sealed with a clear coat lacquer to prevent corrosion. the sliding pull-down doors retain the original diminutive knob pulls. great overall condition with spacious compartments. measures 33 x 13 x 75 inches
