american antique medical adjustable height portable yellow brass hospital examination room floor lamp designed and fabricated by the faries mfg. co., decatur, il. the telescoping arm lamp is supported by a weighted cast iron base concealed by a spun brass cover. the patented socket holder or ring and parabola-shaped rolled rim shade are comprised of wrought brass. the brass coil goose neck flexible arm contains lightly incised manufacturer markings. the stationary floor lamp has been rewired with period appropriate lamp cord. the original chrome plate finish over brass remains in great condition, considering age. measures approximately 68 inches in height when fully extended.
