early 20th century ornamental cast iron copper-plated interior residential passage door backplate possibly fabricated by the barrows hardware company. the oval-shaped doorknob backplate features a fluted thimble or collar and single skeleton keyhole. the two mounting holes are found in the center of each floral rosette. surface wear consistent with age. measures 7 1/4 x 2 1/2 inches.
