original c. 1880's antique american victorian-era salvaged chicago quartered oak wood residential fireplace mantel

elegant 19th century all original solid quartered oak wood salvaged chicago fireplace mantel designed and fabricated by palmer, fuller, and company, chicago, ills. the interior residential fireplace mantel features to opposed fluted columns with capitals accentuated with floral motifs. the fireplace surround features distinctive chamfered edges. the mantel shelf is original and intact. the finish is original to the time of installation sometime during the 1880's.
