nicely aged high american victorian wall-mount ornamental cast bronze interior residential "servant call" or housemaid bell lever possibly fabricated by the p. & f. corbin co., new britain, ct. rotating the fanciful lever engaged a bell or indicator arrow found in a servant call box (typically located in the kitchen), which signaled to the observing servant that service was needed in that particular room. the lever exhibits a mostly uniform surface patina.
