visually distinctive c. 1920's american industrial oversized heavy gauge steel twine factory foreman's toolbox or chest with unique pyramidal-shaped top. the exact fabricator is not known. the hinged top contains both a lockable hasp (for use with padlocks) and a drop handle comprised of bent steel rod. the two opposed handles on the left and right side are original and intact. possibly custom-built. the old nicely worn and weathered red paint finish provides great visual character, especially with the abundant crazing. the unique and unusually large tool chest is both structurally sound and stable. 23 1/2 x 12 1/2 x 16"
