original antique american vintage industrial wrought steel cattle "mineral lick" salt block basket. the compressed blocks of salt are provided for cows to lick as a preventive measure pertaining to mineral deficiency. the welded joint basket has a nice rustic finish. manufactured by the phoenix basket co., michigan. the two heavy duty chain hangers (with large interconnected rings and s-hooks) are included.
