c. 1920's american industrial heavy cast iron postal office hand-powered letter stamping machine pedestal base designed and fabricated by the international postal supply co., syracuse, ny. the turned and tapered pedestal contains a telescoping steel rod or pole that can be removed entirely if need be. the oversized rolled rim base contains deeply embossed lettering indicating the manufacturer. the heavy duty cast iron base has been thoroughly brushed and treated with a clear coat finish. measures 34 inches tall.
