late 1990's oversized single-sided historic chicago building city landmark ceremonial plaque dedicated by then-mayor richard m. daley of chicago. the remarkably heavy two-tone solid bronze informational plaque contains the building's name, architects and date, along with statement of significance and the mayor's name with exact date the ceremony occurred. the exact fabricator is not known. this informational and/or ceremonial plaque, along with the original name plaque, identifying the building (dating to 1904-20) were removed from the building at an unknown point in time. the two plaques were believed to have been acquired by the art institute of chicago. the original building plaque has been secured by the bldg. 51 museum for reference/exhibit purposes. the ceremonial plaque offered in this listing is available for sale. great overall condition. contains four screw holes used for anchoring the building into the facade. measures 24 x 18 inches.
