well-built original american industrial heavy duty cold-rolled steel "fireproof" filing cabinet or "closet" designed and fabricated by or for the beckett paper company, hamilton, oh. the refinished desk or counter cabinet contains two matching hinged doors retaining the original cast brass knobs or door pulls. the heavily compartmentalized or slotted interior retains the original baked-on burgundy enameled finish. the heavy filing cabinet is made of pressed and folded heavy gauge steel for added durability. the filing cabinet's exterior has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. great overall condition, considering age. measures 14 1/4 x 10 1/4 x 19 1/2 inches.
