well-built and versatile c. 1930's vintage american medical furniture cabinet designed and fabricated by the american metal furniture inc., indianapolis, ind. the robust mobile hospital room supply cabinet is comprised of heavy gauge cold-rolled furniture sheet steel. the original "bassick" swivel casters with hardened black rubber wheels are intact and functional. the cabinet contains a single pull-out drawer and oversized cabinet door with original pressed steel knob pulls intact. the brushed metal finish was treated with a cleat coat finish. salvaged from the old cook county hospital (chicago, il.). measures 20 x 16 x 32 inches.
