single antique late nineteenth century pint size blobtop weiss beer bottle fabricated for chicago brewer and bottler louis lamm. the squat body has low shoulders that taper into a wide neck and intact applied blobtop. the front body is embossed inside a round slug plate, "louis lamm / brewer & bottler / chicago". there is no maker's mark, but it was likely fabricated by north baltimore bottle glass company. louis lamm operated a brewery for a short time at 941/943 north western avenue. in 1899 louis lamm is listed as part of the lamm & guehring brewing co., in chicago. bottle is dug from a chicago area excavation site. intact and in good condition. crudities are typical of its age and date of manufacture. measures 7 3/4 inches high.
