original and exceptionally intact c. 1860's antique architectural salvaged chicago exterior ornamental cast iron commercial building facade figural plaque

original very unique and highly ornate pre-fire chicago commercial building relic dating to the 1860's. the exceptional exterior decorative cast iron exterior building facade plaque has a nicely aged patina with sporadic traces of old crazed paint. the high victorian era building plaque features a centrally located, deep relief figural profile of a female surrounded by a repeating floral motif. a lightly incised palmette with flanking scrolls is found below the projecting crown molding. the fabricator and/or foundry is not known. the chicago building, demolished long ago, was built between 1862-66.
