late 1880's american victorian-era salvaged chicago exterior varnished oak wood oversized exterior entrance door corbel or bracket likely fabricated by or for the palmer, fuller, & company, chicago, ills. the heavily reinforced corbel was removed during demolition of the residence. the curvaceous all original bracket is adorned with diminutive rosettes and deeply incised fret-sawn floral motifs. the varnished oak wood bracket was mounted between the two doors with several square nails (since removed). the nicely worn and weathered finish does not detract from the corbel's structural integrity. only one available.
