original and intact c. 1940's american vintage industrial ceiling mount illuminated exit sign designed and fabricated by the western fluorescent light company, chicago, ill. the incandescent light fixture retains the original reverse-baked on enameled red lettering against a solid white background. the housing is comprised of cold-rolled pressed and folded steel that has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. two nearly matching fixtures were salvaged from this factory. measures 15 x 10 1/2 x 10 1/2 inches.
