one of three 19th century butterscotch colored majolica glazed victorian fireplace tile sets designed and fabricated by the united stated american encaustic company, indianapolis, ind. the group of four tiles were salvaged from a chicago residence built around 1893. the richly colored tiles are in great shape with no cracks or breaks. surface discoloration of traces of old paint evident. a total of three tile sets available. priced as individually.
