a set of two matching all original and lightly refinished antique american industrial roberts electric machine shop turret lathe bases or legs with a mostly uniform finish throughout. the legs were likely fabricated by the w.a. jones foundry & mach co., chicago, il. the hamilton lathe legs are incredibly heavy and robust with no cracks or breaks evident. the matching curvaceous legs were salvaged from the machine shop of the roberts electric company located on morgan street in the historic fulton market district. the bases would make for an ideal dinner, side or conference table by adding a massive wood slab. priced for the pair. measures 24 x 10 x 25 1/2 inches.
