two matching original 19th century antique american interior commercial office building door "firenze" pattern doorknob backplates fabricated by the yale & towne mfg. co., stamford, ct. the italian renaissance style backplates are adorned with highly intricate casting detail, in the form of floriated scrollwork. the backplates retains most of the original bower-barff baked enameled finish. the privacy latch handles or "thumtwists" are original and intact. priced for the pair.
