original set of 19th century american ornamental cast bronze banded rim doorknobs designed and patented by burton mallory in 1874. the elegantly designed doorknobs feature intricate foliated scroll-work with centrally located projecting encircled stars. lightly incised patent date markings are found along the doorknob shanks. the antique residential doorknobs contain a black enameled inlay. fabricated by the mallory wheeler co., new haven, ct. priced for the pair.
