two original and largely intact antique american interior residential solid white oak wood columns with ornamental ionic style capitals. each round column is slightly tapered with finely turned pedestal bases intact. the neoclassical style decorative capitals are adorned with gesso ornament in the form of fluted volutes, anthemions and egg & dart molding. the freestanding columns were salvaged from a chicago graystone residence built around 1895. lock stave joint construction throughout. fabricated by the bertelsen adjustable grille co., chicago, il. the round wood columns measure approximately 83 inches in height. priced for the pair.
