original and intact lightweight refinished aluminum factory workman's lunchbox or pail. the exact fabricator is not known. the curved or "humpback" hinged top contains a single stationary handle tightly secured into place. the medium-sized portable pail retains the original opposed clasps to secure the top compartment to the lower compartment. surface wear and/or dents and dings evident, despite being brushed and lightly sanded. a clear coat lacquer has been applied to protect the brushed metal finish.
