two matching original refinished 19th century antique american victorian era ornamental cast brass doorknob rosettes possibly designed and fabricated by norwalk or the p. & f. corbin company, new britain, ct. the circular-shaped rosettes feature allover elaborate foliated scrollwork surrounding the protruding collar or thimble. the brass backplates or escutcheons were salvaged from a chicago residence containing "jet black" porcelain doorknobs that were paired with these rosettes. quantity available. priced for the pair. measures 2 inch diameter
