late 19th century original and intact varnished oak wood chicago residential entrance door with hardware and oversized plate glass pane with beveled edges

original and intact late 19th century antique american heavy duty solid oak wood exterior or entrance door salvaged from a chicago residence undergoing demolition. the entrance door retains the original thick plate glass oversized pane with beveled edges. the doorknobs, escutcheons and hinges were likely fabricated by the p. & f. corbin company, new britain, ct. the original varnished finish is slightly weathered, but intact. the surrounding trimwork consists of a classic egg & dart border used to hold the heavy pane of glass in pace. the door was fabricated by the foster-hunger company, chicago, ills. dates to the late 19th century.
