largely intact c. 1890's american interior residential built-in cabinet arch component comprised of solid white oak wood retaining the original varnished finish. the two flanking square columns or posts contain neoclassical style ionic capitals with gesso ornament. the central arch is accentuated with foliated scrollwork applique and opposing corbels with unique profile. the 19th century arch was fabricated by the decorators supply co., chicago, il. measures 40 x 18 inches.
