original late 1920's or early 1930's antique american industrial surface-mount lightweight cast aluminum single-sided chicago hotel service elevator car "call" push button plaque designed and fabricated by or for the otis elevator company, new york city, ny. the rectangular-shaped plaque contains two circular-shaped black composite buttons above and below the "up" and down" lettering. between the buttons contains instructions that read, "push button until car arrives." the recessed region retains the original baked-on black enameled finish. nicely aged surface patina throughout. top and bottom screw holes for mounting purposes. measures 8 x 3 inches.
