original early 20th century vintage american industrial freestanding heavy duty cast iron foot-operated riveter machine pedestal base fabricated by the baird pneumatic tool co., kansas city, mo. the slightly tapered upright is supported by an oversized circular floor plate or flange containing pre-drilled holes for anchoring into or against the floor. the diminutive platform features four bolt holes used to fasten the machine (removed long ago) to the weighted pedestal base. the brushed metal finish has been treated with a clear coat lacquer. measures 30 inches tall.
