very clean and compact repurposed american industrial machine shop "foreman's desk" side table or console with a newly constructed custom-built solid mahogany wood stand or base. the c. 1920's american vintage industrial custom-built heavy gauge all-welded steel portable factory foreman's diminutive "desk" features a single pull-out drawer with matching pressed steel handles or pulls, flanking a centrally located brass plaque with the foreman's name lightly incised on the surface. the table or countertop mobile desk contains a welded joint three-sided curved edge rail guard and/or enclosure. the portable desk is attached to a four-legged mahogany wood stand with undershelf and cross-bracing for added reinforcement, strength and stability. the desk has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the wood base has been darkly stained and sealed. very unique and distinctive repurposed furniture piece. measures 21 1/4 x 10 x 36 inches.
