original and intact 19th century antique american victorian era ornamental cast iron arch top interior residential summer cover designed and fabricated by william h. jackson & co., new york city, ny. the single-sided fireplace summer cover contains a uniform black enameled finish. the perforated grille is replete with intricate leafage, scollwork and centrally located medallion. salvaged from a chicago graystone residence undergoing demolition. measures 19 x 27 1/2 inches.
