completely intact 19th century american victorian era interior residential ornamental cast iron wall or floor grate. salvaged from a c. 1880's victorian cottage (originally mounted flush against a kitchen wall). contains the hard to find, centrally located "spider web" design motif, acting as a dial for opening and closing the three louvers encased within the cast iron housing. fabricated by the tuttle & bailey mfg. co., new york. the salvaged chicago cast iron and steel grate has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. two mathcing grates available. priced individually.
