original and intact c. 1900-10 american vintage industrial uniquely shaped cast iron machine base fabricated by or for the racine tool & machine company, racine, wi. the four-legged metal cutting machine base features curvaceous legs with a fanciful skirt or apron. the shoes or floor plates contain pre-drilled holes for anchoring the unit into the floor. the newly added edge glued tabletop is comprised of old growth recycled pine wood boards salvaged from the boylston factory. the brushed metal finish has been treated with a cleat coat finish. measures 20 x 16 1/2 x 21 inches.
