hard to find cornflower blue glass mid to late 1850's iron pontiled soda glass bottle with deeply embossed lettering and applied blob top

rare hard to find cornflower blue glass iron pontiled bottle distributed by c. sundell & co., chicago, il. the bottle has a narrow neck with intact applied blob top. the body has boldly embossed lettering around the bottle, “c.sundell & co.” and beneath that, “chicago, ill.” the pontiled base retains some of the original iron resin left from the coated pontil rod and has a slightly pointed indentation.
