highly sought after c. 1915-1920 single deep cobalt blue porcelain enameled steel "maxolite" pendant or dome reflector manufactured for central electric company in chicago, il. the heavy gauge steel shade has a deep bowl which retains the original and highly desirable deep cobalt blue porcelain or vitreous enameled finish. an original sticker with the model printed on it "maxolite dome 200" is adhered to the upper part of the fixture. the white reflective underside remains in good condition considering age. it retains the original ceramic socket, with "g.e. co." stamped at the edge, as well as a metal pull chain. the fixture is outfitted with the original eyelet for hanging from the ceiling. "maxolite" shades or reflectors were distributed through the central electric company to factories across the country in the first half of the 20th century. great overall condition. only one available. measures 16 inches in diameter x 15 inches high.
