lot of three matching early 1870's american victorian era heavy cast bronze metal interior residential loose joint butt door hinges manufactured by the russell & erwin mfg. co., new britain, ct. the solid bronze passage door hinges remain in great condition, considering age. intricately designed hinge leaves contain five holes for mounting purposes. fanciful tapered finials feature a nice deep relief palmette design motif. designed and patented in 1869 by william gorman for the russell & erwin mfg. co. priced for the lot. measure 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches.
