refinished late 19th century matching interior residential passage door mortise locks designed and fabricated by the p. & f. corbin company, new britain, ct. the passage door locks (all matching) were salvaged from a chicago two flat residence undergoing demolition. the mortise locks retain the original dead and spring-loaded latch bolts. the face plates are comprised of cast brass metal with a mostly uniform finish. the mechanical components are housed within baked black enameled cast iron "boxes" the are mortised into the door. priced for the lot. each lock measures 1 x 3 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches.
