four matching original early 20th century antique american ornamental stamped steel interior residential doorknob backplates possibly fabricated by reading or the penn hardware company. the decorative wrought steel backplates retain a partially intact copper-plated finish. the protruding thimbles or collars are in great shape. measure approximately 7 1/2 x 2 1/4 inches. priced for the lot.
