group of matching 19th century antique american salvaged chicago fireplace majolica tiles esigned by isaac broome for the providential tile works art pottery tiles trenton, new jersey, c. 1886-1913. the vibrabtly colored green fireplace surround tiles (measuring 6 x 6 inches) feature intricate aquatic design motfis with sea shells and plant life. any and all mortar has been carefully removed from the backside of each tile. salvaged from a chicago residence built around 1895. price for the lot.
