very unique and unusual c. 1950's vintage american home insurance agency office wall-mount "bubble" analog clock fabricated by or for the pam clock co., new rochelle, ny. the clock (i.e., bezel and body) are comprised largely of brushed aluminum with age appropriate wear. the convex-shaped protective glass cover plate is original and intact. the clock face contains a reverse-painted enameled finish with sporadic crazing found primarily along the edges. the pressed enameled steel hour, minute and sweeping hands are original. the electric movements are in good working condition. the clock contains interior illumination, with two red incandescent light bulbs chosen for added effect. cord and plug free from damage. the pam clock company was a new york state-based clock manufacturing firm, active between 1940 and 1976. the company had facilities in new rochelle, mount vernon and brooklyn. the pam clock company is perhaps best known for its aluminium, metal and glass, back-lit advertising clocks. many companies ordered these clocks to advertise their products and/or services. the clocks employed an electric motor and incorporated two light bulbs to illuminate the clock.
