repurpsoed fully functional vintage american industrial tubular steel fully functional "localite" triple-joint task lamp designed and fabricated by the fostoria pressed steel corp., fostoria, oh. the salvaged chicago pressed and formed steel articulating lamp contains a "slim helmet" shade or reflector wth integrated socket housing existing socket and lamp cord. the weighted based and light have been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. several similar lamps were recently salvaged from a chicago factory machine shop. the fostoria pressed steel company began producing the "localite" (in various configurations) beginning in 1918.
