intact c. 1930's vintage american medical adjustable height stationary stool with a bent steel four-legged base. the adjustable swivel seat with threaded steel rod retains the original chrome plated finish. the surgeon stool was manufactured by the sharp & smith co., specializing in surgical instruments, deformity apparatus and surgeons' appliances. when fully extended, the stool measures 24 inches in height. brushed metal finish treated with a clear coat lacquer.
