finely crafted late 19th century box-jointed refinished solid oak wood residential carpenter or builder's tool chest with compartmentalized interior

well-maintained and all original solid golden oak wood box-joint portable residential carpenter or builder tool chest with opposed drop handles and cabinet clasp. the refinished (inside and out) tool chest is simple in design and well-constructed. the box-jointed corners are free from excessive wear and tear. the flush-mount or built-n cabinet lock was fabricated by stanley or possibly eagle. the spacious interior contains a heavily compartmentalized removable tray comprised of wood. the cabinet's hardware has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the builder's tool chest is structurally sound and solid. likely fabricated around 1890-1900. measures 31 5/8 x 17 1/4 x 14 1/4 inches.
