all original and very well-maintained american art deco machine age illuminated exit light likely designed and manufactured by the kliegl brothers, new york city, ny. the impressive streamlined style pressed glass lens contains deeply incised deco style stretched lettering with the original baked-on black enameled finish used to accentuate or highlight the letters against a solid red background. the uniquely-shaped fitter is comprised of aluminum with two opposed screw holes for mounting flush against the all. the socket was removed long ago. the diminutive lens is free from breaks or cracks. great overall condition. 3 1/2 inches in diameter
