early american depression-era green porcelain enameled steel safety first workplace injury "scorecard" with bold white lettering

american depression-era single-sided vintage industrial "days without lost time" factory sign likely manufactured by the enameled green sign co., or possibly stonehouse (denver, co). this very early "safety first" sign is comprised of reinforced cold-rolled steel with porcelain enameled finish. the sign would have had a blank black box was used for "score" chalk entries pertaining to the frequency of workplace incidents. the sign features the slogan "accidents are avoidable" at the bottom. the old industrial scoreboard sign is in decent shape, considering age. several holes along each edge allow the sign to be mounted flush against a wall. measures 28 x 20 inches.
