original and intact early 20th century ornamental cast bronze metal mission style exterior commercial store door pull fabricated by the yale & towne mfg. co., stamford, ct. the tombstone profile backplate is mostly unadorned, containing four screw holes (for mounting purposes) and an interchangeable "dummy" mortise cylinder lock cover plate with the word "yale" lightly incised along the front. the highly stylized tapered and fluted handle is stationary. the backplate has a naturally aged surface patina. salvaged from an old woolworths building on the west side of chicago. measures approximately 13 3/4 x 3 1/4 x 2 1/2 inches.
