robust freestanding utilitarian cast iron brushed metal factory machine shop grinder base sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the upright base with weighted bottom contains a mostly uniform patina sealed with a clear coat lacquer. the depression era grinder base is free from cracks or breaks. the exact fabricator is not known. makes for an ideal display stand or repurposed table.
