documented early 20th century american single electric pendant light ceiling fixture salvaged from the historic reliance building during extensive renovations occurring in the 1990's. the interior office "schoolhouse" style fixture retains the original spun yellow brass shade fitter, steel chain and brass ceiling "cap" or canopy with stem. the three knurled edge set screws keep the oversized white opalescent glass shade securely in place. the single incandescent lamp ceramic socket is original and intact. the antique ceiling fixture was likely fabricated by or for r. williamson & co., chicago, il. measures approximately 16 x 39 inches.
