all original and nicely worn and weathered mobile oversized storage cart or rack used for transporting rolled cigars to the department where there were cut, labeled and boxed. the cart is comprised of reinforced heavy gauge welded joint frame with stationary and swivel casters. the early 1920's industrial storage cart was salvaged from the columbia cigar factory located in chicago, ills. the wood crates with a single handle and centrally located stationary divider can slide and/or be removed altogether. the cart contains a large drop hook or bracket the pivots freely. an old, possibly original riveted joint brass plaque with incised markings is attached to the frame. a total of twelve matching compartments are mounted on the double-sided rack. measures 22 x 30 x 64 inches.
