matching set of salvaged chicago early 20th century ornamental wrought brass "meridian" pattern doorknobs and backplates manufactured by the yale & towne mfg. co., stamford, ct. 
the oval-shaped doorknobs and backplates are comprised of yellow brass with nicely aged surface patina. the matching doorknobs and backplates or escutcheons were salvaged from a chicago graystone residence built around 1900-10. priced for the set.
measure 8 1/4 x 2 3/8 inches.
