unique combination desk or table lamp with shallow storage compartment or "change tray" using an old growth oak wood live edge slab cut down to a manageable size for use on a desk or table. the completely refinished wood slab contains a single routered out tray and a sunken single electric lamp featuring a cylindrical-shaped perforated cast iron foundry component salvaged from the chicago foundry co., chicago, il. the soft electric light emanates from within the stationary cylinder. a single keyless incandescent lamp socket with new cord containing an inline on/off switch has been added. the iron cylinder has been brushed down to bare metal and sealed with a clear coat lacquer. 20 1/2 inches x 10 inches x 10 1/2 inches.
